This course titled Vertical Envelope Assemblies is the second module in a four-part series geared towards the development of Building Envelope Risk Managers. In this course we will:
- Understand the basic types of Wall Systems, how performance standards are determined, and when delegated design may be required.
- Understand the various Components of the wall systems that comprise the vertical building envelope.
- Understand what it means to achieve Environmental Separation and the roles that Air Barriers/Water Resistive Barriers play to in the process.
- Understand Testing related to commissioning the vertical portions of the building envelope.
